Viet Nam’s photographers won a number of international prizes in 2013.
The photo 'Toss nets' by Mr. Hoang Giang Hai was one of top 18 most beautiful photos in the Your Shot contest selected by National Geographic, an American famous magazine;
The First Prize of the World Press Photo went to the photographer Maika Elan (Nguyen Thanh Hai) with a collection of pictures named The Pink Choice;
The student in architecture NguyenHoang Hiep won the title “Photographer of the year” in the contest Sony World Photography 2013;
The photo “People are harvesting salt at sunset in Khanh Hoa province' by photographer Hai Hoang Giang entered in the final of Smithsonian Magazine Photography Contest;
The photo 'Rice terraces in Bac Son valley' by Hai Hai Thinh went to the final of Smithsonian Magazine Photography Contest;
Photographer Truong Minh Dien defeated other photographers coming from 91 countries in the world to win the First Prize of CGAP 2013 with his touching photo “Rainy afternoon”.
