The Ministry of Transport, the provincial People’s Committees of Nghe An and Ha Tinh held a cerremony at Nghi Hai ward, Cua Lo town, Nghe An province on June 26 to start works on Cua Hoi bridge across Lam river, connecting Cua Lo resort town (Nghe An province) and Nghi Xuan district (Ha Tinh province).
Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue and former Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Sinh Hung attended the event.
The Cua Hoi bridge has the total investment of 1,050 billion VND with its length of 6,2km and width of 12m, including four lanes.
The Cua Hoi bridge on the approved route along the central coast line will facilitate socio-economic development and consolidate security defence in the two provinces and the north central region.
Also on June 26, a ground-breaking ceremony for the first five-star complex of hotel, entertainment and resort in the north central region was organised in Cua Lo town, the central province of Nghe An.
The international standard complex is located at Cua Hoi beach, 15 kilometres from Vinh city.
The 39-hectare Vinpearl Cua Hoi project, invested by Vingroup, Vietnam’s leading real estate developer, has total investment capital of more than 900 billion VND (40.6 million USD), including high-end resort villas, five-star hotel, restaurants, and other facilities.
Addressing the ceremony, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Xuan Duong said that the project is significant to the provincial development.
When put into completion, the international standard complex will mark a giant stride in the local tourism sector, Chairman Nguyen Xuan Duong noted, adding that the locality commits to creating favourable conditions for the investors to effectively implement the project.
Vingroup also launched construction of the 16-hectare Cua Sot villa complex in Loc Ha district, Ha Tinh province on the same day. The two top-notch complexes are expected to mark a major advance in the regional tourism.
