Ambassadors' spouses perform ao dai parade at Thang Long Imperial Citadel
Hanoi Tourism's Ao Dai Festival is expected to establish itself as an annual autumn tourism attraction in the capital city.

International fine arts on Vietnamese ao dai received much love from ambassadors and spouses when they attended the Ao Dai Night performance under the Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival 2024.
The Ao Dai Night fashion show was held at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel in Hanoi with the participation of 65 Vietnamese designers from all over the country. Their creations were presented by the spouses of ambassadors, famous artists and actresses.
This is one of a series of events to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the capital (October 10, 1954-2024).
Deputy Director of the Hanoi Tourism Department, Nguyen Hong Minh, said that each collection has its own style, inspired by the eternal values of Vietnam and the world through ao dai, so that the love of heritage and cultural connection can transcend time.

The Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival was held for the first time in 2016, with the desire to create a playground for artists, designers, models, at the same time inspire and spread the love for ao dai, preserve and promote its traditional value in social life, through Ao Dai connection to promote cultural heritage, showcase attractive tourism products of the capital and the whole country.
So far, the Ao Dai Festival has become an annual event held in October, the autumn month, the most beautiful season of the year in Hanoi. With the active response of the people, the festival has become a cultural bridge festival, an annual rendezvous in Hanoi's autumn for tourists and international friends.
Representing ao dai designers from 63 provinces and cities, designer Do Trinh Hoai Nam hoped that ao dai collections featuring heritage images and traditional pattern designs would create a trend for ao dai not only on the catwalk but also in life.
The gathering of 65 designers from the three regions showed the magnitude of the event. In particular, the National Flag ao dai collection and the Fine Arts ao dai collection by designer Do Trinh Hoai Nam demonstrated the creative power of fashion language: International fine arts on Vietnamese costume.
