Ba Vi National Park glows with wild sunflowers

As wild sunflowers burst into bloom, they signal the arrival of winter with warmth and brilliance.

THE HANOI TIMES — Every November and December, Hanoi’s countryside glows in gold as the hills of Ba Vi National Park burst into bloom, drawing travelers to witness the fleeting beauty of the season.

Wild sunflowers blaze in full bloom, heralding the quiet approach of winter.

Visitors to Hanoi during these months are greeted by golden sunlight and cool breezes carrying the scent of the hills. Fields of bright yellow wild sunflowers stretch across Ba Vi, creating a mesmerizing harmony of color and light.

Each year, the Wild Sunflower Festival celebrates this natural spectacle, with flowers, light and the gentle rhythm of early winter, for travelers to capture photos of the blossoms and enjoy sweeping views of Hanoi from Ba Vi’s summit.

During the season, Ba Vi National Park welcomes thousands of visitors each day and up to a thousand on weekends. According to the park’s Service and Environmental Education Center, wild sunflowers have been promoted as a tourism highlight since 2015, attracting more visitors to this golden landscape each year.

On middle November mornings, soft sunlight spills over the slopes of Tan Vien Mountain, coating the landscape in a magical orange hue.

Many travelers make their way to Ba Vi National Park just to marvel at this spectacle, an endless sea of golden petals that marks the close of the year.

This year, the wild sunflower season began in November, when thousands of tiny yellow-and-orange blossoms opened in full splendor.

The tiny yet charming flower win the heart of many travelers to Hanoi.

The flowers form a radiant carpet along a 12.5-kilometer route leading toward the peak of Ba Vi Mountain, turning the entire park into a living painting.

Passing through the park’s entrance, visitors find themselves surrounded by golden waves of blooms cascading down the mountain slopes.

As the road winds toward the pine forest, sunlight dances on the petals, transforming the scenery into a soft and glowing dream.

The bright yellow blossoms captivate visitors.

One of the most breathtaking spots lies on a hillside of wild sunflowers spreading over 10 hectares at an altitude of 400 meters.
