Banners and flowers decorate Hanoi streets to welcome municipal Party Congress

In the lead-up to the Hanoi Party Congress, the city’s sanitation staff are working around the clock to beautify the city and create a cheerful atmosphere.

Major streets in Hanoi are adorned with national flags, flowers, slogans and posters to welcome in the 17th city Party Congress for the 2020-2025 terune.

 The decoration was carried out from September 25 to October 5.
 The decoration and communication activities are focused on the venue of the event, the buildings that house the city Party Congress (Le Lai Street, Hoan Kiem District and Tran Phu Street, Ha Dong District), the Municipal People's Council and the People's Committee; the areas of Ba Dinh Square, Hoan Kiem Lake; and the main routes of the city.
 Red flags and banners featured at the Ba Dinh Square. 
 A large panel to welcome the 17th city Party Congress is placed next to the monument “Determined to Brave Death for the Survival of the Fatherland” at Van Xuan Flower Garden.
 The embellishment of the city should be thrifty and effective, according to an instruction from the city’s authorities.
