Beauty of Vietnam through Dalat Yersin Photography Awards
Winning photos of the Dalat Yersin Photography Awards depict the simple yet amazing beauty of Vietnam's landscapes and people.
The Dalat Yersin Photography Awards International Photo Exhibition (DYPA) were launched by The Da Lat Photo Club, the Lao Dong communal house in Da Lat city and Youi’s Art Space in the Da Lat City to bolster exchange in photography and honor Dr. Alexandre Yersin (1863-1943), who discovered the city in 1893.
According to Ly Hong Long, Chairman of the Da Lat Photography Club and Head of the Dalat Yersin Photography Awards (DYPA) Organizing Committee, the first international photography competition held in the central highland city of Da Lat has been a great success.
"Both domestic and international photographers have brought viewers diverse perspectives and emotions about the beautiful landscapes, architecture, and people of Vietnam," he said.
The DYPA photo contest has attracted the participation of 208 contestants from 27 nations and territories with 2,221 photos.
The jury, which includes photographic artists Dao Tien Dat (Vietnam), Pia Jessen (Australia), and Kyaw Kyaw Winn (Myanmar), has selected 384 photos to display at the exhibition and other 71 award-winning photographic artworks.
The DYPA photo exhibition is on display until February 2023 at Youi's Art Space, Da Lat City.
