THE HANOI TIMES — The military parade celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day will take place at Hanoi's Ba Dinh Square on the early morning of September 2.

The parade, marking a historic milestone for the country, will draw tens of thousands of people to attend in person, both at the Ba Dinh Square and along the streets where the parade passes by.

After marching past the grandstand at Ba Dinh Square, contingents will head in seven directions, covering major downtown streets.

People and visitors can enjoy the spectacle from several ideal locations. In these areas, viewers can watch the parade from high-rise buildings, or stand in open spaces to immerse themselves in the vigorous atmosphere created by the marching units.

Public spaces such as sidewalks and parks along the route will also be open for safe viewing, allowing people to share in the national pride on this historic occasion.

The August Revolution Square, in front of the Hanoi Opera House, is one of the most scenic viewing points. The area marked the beginning and success of the August Revolution on August 19, 1945.

The Kim Ma – Nguyen Thai Hoc – Son Tay intersection offers another access point for spectators from different parts of the city.

At the Kim Ma – Lieu Giai intersection, the parade turns from Nguyen Thai Hoc Street onto Lieu Giai and Van Cao streets on its way back to Ba Dinh Square.
