Brillant flower at Quang Ba Flower Market for Vietnamese Women’s Day

Hanoi's largest flower wholesale market is busy with buyers and sellers on Vietnamese Women's Day, which falls today, October 20.

As usual, Quang Ba Flower Market becomes busier on holidays, especially Vietnamese Women's Day.

While the whole of Hanoi is asleep, the Quang Ba flower market is very lively for flower purchasing.
The night before the commemorative date, the market attracts crowds of people who come to buy flowers, and also those who want to enjoy the bustling atmosphere of the market.
This young gallant man takes his girlfriend to the night flower market and buy her the freshest flowers.
Hundreds of species of flowers such as colorful daisies, cherry blossoms, roses, orchids and sunflowers are on sale.
These flowers are brought from gardeners in neighboring areas such as Tay Tuu, Dong Anh, Me Linh District of Hanoi suburb or from China.
According to Nguyen Thi Thuy, a seller at Quang Ba flower market, roses are the most popular this year.
Rose bouquets are eye-catchingly decorated, even equipped with LED lights.
The price of flowers is also two to three times higher than normal, around VND10,000 or around US$0.5 per rose and VND300,000 or $15 per bunch.
However, due to the economic decline, purchasing power is also lower than the anniversary before.
Quang Ba night flower market usually opens at 8 o’clock in the evening and closes at dawn the next day.
Many young people not only come to the market to buy flowers, but also to admire these wonderful tiny creations, relax and take beautiful photos.
