Buckwheat flowers attract visitors to Ha Giang

Buckwheat is the mountain flower that blooms at the onset of winter between October and November.

In the last months of the year, visitors can easily observe the pink and purple hues of buckwheat fields when visiting the Ha Giang Karst Plateau in the northern mountainous province of Ha Giang, Vietnam.

The majestic landscape of mountains and forests here with pure beautiful buckwheat flowers captivates visitors.

In recent years, the road to Ha Giang has appealed to travelers for the steep passes that wind around hills and mountains now adorned with pink buckwheat flowers.

Traveling through Ha Giang these days, visitors will be treated to a picturesque landscape of fields of pink and white buckwheat flowers along the mountain pass from Quan Ba, Yen Minh to Pho Cao and Dong Van.

Over the past few years, it has become a source of inspiration for both domestic and foreign visitors to Ha Giang.

Ha Giang Province's buckwheat flower is considered a tourist ambassador.

This year, the acreage under buckwheat flowers has been increased to lure more visitors, which will help boost local tourism.

Flowers blanket the rice fields, creating stunning and romantic landscapes.

The most beautiful period of the flowers is when they are on the verge of wilting, when the color changes from white to light pink and then dark red.

After a week, the flowers turn purple or light purple, followed by pink and dark red a few weeks later.

Tourists can rent a motorbike from Ha Giang to travel to some tourist destinations and enjoy the beauty of the flowers to the fullest.

A must-see is Lung Cam Valley in Dong Van District, where buckwheat flowers grow almost everywhere.
