Vietnam is an attractive destination for foreign investors. The country’s socio-economic achievements can be attributed to their considerable contributions.
The statement was made by Vice Chairperson of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan at a meeting with foreign investors and leaders of Khanh Hoa south-central province in Hanoi on February 9 to call for investment in the Bac Van Phong Special Economic Zone (SEZ).
Ngan said Vietnam plans to build three SEZs in three regions, including Bac Van Phong in Khanh Hoa and Vietnam is willing to support foreign investors and facilitate their operation in the country. She hoped that foreign investors will share experience with Vietnam in building SEZs.
Former Prime Minister of Ireland, John Burton who is head of the foreign business delegation in turn said SEZs will operate successfully if businesses can enjoy tax preferential policies and a stable legal system.
He pledged to share experience with Vietnam in building SEZs and to work with Khanh Hoa province to map a development project for Bac Van Phonng SEZ.
