Charity bazaar in Hanoi to raise fund for underprivileged children

The “Spend with heart” charity bazaar on May 11 aims to bring hope to ethnic minority children in Vietnam’s northern province of Ha Giang.

THE HANOI TIMES The Sheraton Hanoi Hotel will next week open its garden to the public for “Spend with Heart” a community charity bazaar dedicated to raising funds for underprivileged students in the northern mountain province of Ha Giang.

With the message "Every item you purchase is a gift of love sent away," the event transforms shopping into meaningful gestures of support for children in need.

Organized by Sheraton Hanoi in collaboration with trusted vendors and West Lake neighbors, from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM, visitors are invited to explore a welcoming marketplace that will offer shopping, entertainment, and community connection.

This charity event features handcrafted lifestyle products, children's books, toys, and gourmet treats lovingly prepared by the hotel's chefs. Whether visitors pick up a bar of natural soap, a piece of silk, or a toy for a child, each purchase contributes directly to improving the education of students at Quyet Tien Primary School in Quan Ba District, Ha Giang.

Live music and performances will enliven the day, while craft workshops, tarot readings and raffles will provide fun for the whole family. Admission to the bazaar is only VND30,000 (nearly US$1) per person. Advance reservations can be made through the charity event announcement .

Quyet Tien Primary School is home to over 900 students, including 215 who live in simple boarding facilities. The majority of these children come from ethnic minority families who struggle daily for food, clothing, and education.

“'Spend with heart’ is not just a charity fair, it is our way of connecting heart to heart, community to community,” said Tiffany Hwang, General Manager of Sheraton Hanoi. “With every item you choose to purchase, you are sending a message of compassion and empowering children in remote mountainous areas for a brighter future. We believe that when love is shared in the right way, it can transcend mountains and reach the most beautiful dreams.”
