Digital Pho: One step to make Vietnamese noodle widespread

Robots will handle production and service tasks to provide an innovative pho dining experience.

"Pho So Ha Thanh" or Ha Thanh Digital Pho is a unique creation that blends traditional cuisine with cutting-edge technology, presenting a novel perspective on the application of technological advancements and digital transformation in Vietnam's culinary sector.

Smart robots are set to take over production and service roles, offering a brand-new and contemporary pho dining experience.

This initiative is part of the Hanoi Culinary Culture Festival 2024 opened on November 29 to showcase the city’s unique traditional culinary delights to both domestic and international visitors.

In her opening remarks, Vice Chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha highlighted that the 2024 Hanoi Culinary Culture Festival themed 'Hanoi Connecting the World' features 16 embassies from Algeria, Argentina, Azerbaijan, Brazil, India, Iran, Japan, Mongolia, Laos, Russia, Sri Lanka, Turkey, South Korea, France, Italy, and Venezuela, alongside 8 neighboring provinces with over 80 booths.

The event helps foster exchange and strengthen cooperation in culture and tourism, enhancing understanding and friendship between Hanoi and international friends.

The Digital Pho program, alongside the 2024 Hanoi Culinary Culture Festival, aims to elevate Hanoi pho as a national intangible cultural heritage, promoting the development of the culinary culture industry. The digital pho initiative seeks to create a national dossier on pho for the inclusion of UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

The festival features a diverse array of activities, such as traditional heritage showcases, a photo exhibition, and a mobile book exhibition highlighting books on culture, tourism, and international cooperation. Additionally, the event includes folk games, traditional and modern art performances, and discussions aimed at developing culinary culture.
