European Literature Days 2023 aims to celebrate and share the quintessence of European culture with Vietnamese readers, who will also have the opportunity to interact with authors and translators at the events.

The European Literature Days 2023 will run in Hanoi from May 11 to 21, with many events, according to the French Institute.
The opening ceremony will be held on May 13 with the participation of representatives from embassies and cultural institutes of 13 European countries.
As part of the 2023 European Literature Days, publishing units and cultural enterprises in Vietnam will hold book launches, readings, literary discussions, and book fairs.
In addition, two composition competitions on European characters and a competition on European literature have attracted many candidates who are passionate about literature and painting.

Readers will also have the opportunity to interact with authors, translators, editors, and publishers and participate in seminars and other interactive activities.
Organized by students from the Book and Action Club of Hanoi Law University at Book Street, Casa Italia, Goethe Institute in Hanoi, French Institute in Hanoi, and Kim Dong Publishing House, the European Express event will help readers explore European cultures through the pages of books.
"I would like to take this opportunity to introduce the European Literature Days 2023, which is being organized in Hanoi with the participation of 13 nations from Europe, including embassies and cultural institutes. It is a series of events, including book launches, story readings, and literary discussions. In addition, there will be a 'European Characters in Vietnam' contest and a quiz on European Literature Days, which have attracted many quality candidates who are passionate about European literature," said Thierry Vergon, President of the European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC) Vietnam, organizer of the event.
