Take a tour to Dong Lac Communal House at 38 Hang Dao Street, it`s your chance to explore Hanoi craft culture and ancient architecture.
Recognized as a national heritage by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2004, Dong Lac Communal House at 38 Hang Dao Street was built in the 17th century under the Le Dynasty and is a place worshipping Cao Son, Linh Lang and Bach Ma gods and selling silk products.

The place is expected to be a favorite destination for tourists while exploring Hanoi’s cultural and historical values.

the house is also place to display and introduce traditional craft products. Vivid lacquer-ware table, meticulous eggshell inlay vase, tea pot… tell endless story about Hanoi culture. Those products belong to the lacquer brand Hanoia.

In 2017, Hanoi's Old Quarter management board issued a plaque to recognize Dong Lac Communal House as a tourist destination.

Hanoi authorities collaborated with the French city of Toulouse to renovate the house in 2000. So it's easy to feel the mix of ancient Vietnam architecture and French-style building techniques here.

Hanoia - the lacquerware brand taking charge of souvenir sold in Dong Lac Communal House also hosts the Hanoi Culture Space seminar series on the second Thursday of every month. Those activities aim to reappear and maintain Hanoian’s grace lifestyle at the House.
