Enterprises meet in Hanoi to promote Thailand's Nong Nooch ecotourism

The tourism industry in Vietnam and Thailand needs to regularly exchange and cooperate, thus creating conditions for the two countries to have the opportunity to experience the best quality tourism services.

This is the comment of Head of the Management of Accommodation under Hanoi Department of Tourism Tran Trung Hieu in the framework of the seminar with the theme “Enterprises meeting to promote Nong Nooch ecotourism” by the Economic and Urban newspaper in coordination with the Nong Nooch Tropical Garden and Cultural Village on September 4 in Hanoi.

Potential destination
According to Vice General Manager of the Nong Nooch Tropical Garden and Cultural Village, Adith Chairattananon, the eco-tourism site is located on the axis of Highway 3 from Bangkok to Pattaya, about 20 km from Pattaya. The garden has been voted one of Thailand's most popular tourist attractions and one of the largest tropical gardens in the world. The site owns 20,000 tropical tree species collected from 50 countries around the world.
­In 2018, the Nong Nooch Eco-Tourism Resort has been ranked 5th among top 23 parks and eco-gardens in the world by the US's Insider. In addition, in 2015, the Telegraph, a UK daily newspaper also selected Nong Nooch Eco Tourism is one of the 21 reasons travelers should visit Thailand. According to the Telegraph, Nong Nooch is one of the best botanical gardens in Southeast Asia. This is a fairytale world with tropical flowers and plants, beautiful houses, orchards and parks, and the hosting of Thai culture.
According to Sales and Marketing Division Manager of the Nong Nooch Tropical Garden and Cultural Village, Kanlayakorn Dedkard, in 2017, Nong Nooch Garden welcomed about 3.6 million visitors and received about 10,000 tourists per day.
Meanwhile, Nong Nooch Tropical Garden and Cultural Village welcomed about 54,000 Vietnamese tourists in the first eight months of 2018, according to Vice General Manager of the Nong Nooch Tropical Garden and Cultural Village, Adith Chairattananon.
“With this result, Vietnam has been a potential market, due to its integration and development, especially in the field of tourism,” said Chairattananon.
Increased coordination
Impressed by the daily innovation of Nong Nooch eco-tourism resort, Vice Chairman of Hanoi Tourism Association, Director of ITC TRAVEL, Trinh Thi My Nghe said that Vietnamese tourists always find new things of Thailand in general and Nong Nooch eco-tourism area in particular when returning to that country.
“The Nong Nooch Tropical Garden and Cultural Village in Thailand is really successful in attracting tourists, always finding innovation, creativity,” My added.
According to Chairman of Sunvina Travel, Ta Huu Chien, to expand the attraction of more tourists in Vietnam, the Nong Nooch Tropical Garden and Cultural Village should have priority pricing policies for travel companies, introduce more about this resort, and proceed to sell the natural food products for tourists to buy as gifts.
Commenting on the potential for cooperation between Vietnam's tourism industry in general, Hanoi in particular with Thailand, Tran Trung Hieu, representative from the Hanoi Department of Tourism said that Thailand is a potential market. Previously, the Tourism Authority of Thailand has aimed the number of visitors to Vietnam this country to reach one million. Up to now, Vietnam has welcomed about 300,000 Thai tourists, including about 100,000 visitors to Hanoi.
“Hopefully, in the coming time, Vietnam and Thailand will strengthen cooperation, thereby creating conditions for visitors of both countries to have the opportunity to experience the best services and quality,” said Hieu.
