The exhibition opened at the Guimet Museum in Paris, France with the participation of Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Vuong Duy Bien, French Minister of Culture and Communications Aurélie Filippetti.
An exhibition featuring the aesthetic value and changes of the dragon image in Vietnamese culture and religion throughout history.
Speaking at the opening, Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Vuong Duy Bien highlighted this important event as part of activities to celebrate 40 years of Vietnam-France diplomatic ties.
French Minister of Culture and Communications Aurélie Filippetti in turn said that the exhibition gave Vietnamese and French people a good chance to understand more about culture and history of the two countries, thus boosting friendship and cooperation relations.
The artifacts on display at the exhibition are made from many different materials such as terracotta, pottery, gold, silver, copper and gemstones.
The event, which will last through September 15, is the result of cooperation between the National Museum of Vietnamese History and the Guimet Museum.
