This year’s event features a dynamic lineup of activities, starting with the colorful opening ceremony, the 2nd Muong Ethnic Culture Festival, and a workshop on “Preserving and Promoting Traditional Cultural Values in Tourism Development.”

Visitors can enjoy folk performances by ethnic minorities, join handicraft workshops, play traditional games, and take part in cultural experiences that celebrate the living heritage of Vietnam’s 54 ethnic groups.

A highlight of the week is the “Program to Promote and Introduce Vietnamese Culture to International Friends,” offering international guests an immersive experience of Vietnam’s diverse cultural tapestry. Folk art will take center stage, with performances of Quan Ho, Hat Xam, and Hat Van, the UNESCO-recognized intangible cultural heritages, performed by master artists. These shows offer an authentic glimpse into the soul of Vietnamese culture, revealing the depth and beauty of its traditions.

The culinary section invites visitors on a journey through regional specialties that reflect Vietnam’s cultural diversity. Each dish and preparation tells a story of identity, community, and the enduring bond between food and culture.

Beyond showcasing tradition, the Great Unity Week promotes cultural dialogue and strengthens friendship between Vietnam and the international community.

Through traditional customs, ethnic cuisines and daily life experiences, visitors gain a deeper understanding of Vietnamese culture, while the event reaffirms the country’s commitment to preserving and celebrating the heritage of its 54 ethnic groups.

The festival highlights the enduring value of Vietnam’s cultural heritage in the modern era, connecting culture, tourism and international friendship in one shared experience.
