First Hanoi Innovation Summit to be held in late August

Hanoi Innovation Summit 2019 will be an opportunity for science technology cooperation and experience exchange in technology application research, network connection, entrepreneurship ecosystems, technology trade and investment cooperation.

Hanoi Innovation Summit will be held in the capital city of Vietnam on August 29-30, 2019, local media reported.

The forum will be hosted by the global innovation organization of Schoolab (France) under the auspices of Hanoi’s authority and the Ministry of Planning and Investment.

Hanoi Innovation Summit 2019 will deal with urgent issues related to starting a business, promoting awareness and the spirit of creative entrepreneurship in the community, especially among students, youth and intellectuals in Vietnam and Hanoi, according to the forum’s organizing committee.

Besides, the forum will serve as a bridge to connect domestic and international resources to enhance startup activities and a link among creative entrepreneurship ecosystems in Vietnam, including Hanoi.

Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Science and Technology Nguyen Anh Tuan said that this is an event to promote Vietnamese creative startups as well as an opportunity to improve creative entrepreneurship in the community and provide connections between domestic and international resources.

Especially, the event will be an opportunity for science technology cooperation and experiences exchange in technology application research, network connection, entrepreneurship ecosystems, technology trade and investment cooperation. 

The forum will revolve around innovative issues with a view to encourage sustainability and multi-stakeholder participation in emerging economies. The two key topics during the two days of discussion include "Our planet and cities – Creativity at the level of infrastructure" and "Our organizations and lives – Creativity at the human level".

The forum’s organizing committee hopes that with diverse information and rich practical experience from businesses, technology corporations and investors, Hanoi Innovation Summit 2019 will not only raise issues but also finds solutions and the right direction for environment, smart city, science, employment, consumer technology, among others.

More than 3,000 delegates are expected to attend the forum, including the Vietnamese government’s leaders, ministries, central agencies and cities; embassies of some countries in Hanoi; more than 100 international and domestic speakers (mainly senior experts in the fields of information technology, environmental resources, creative startup, finance); investors, technology corporations, domestic and foreign startup enterprises; representatives from some institutes, universities and research institutes in Hanoi.

The forum will also open a space for startups and businesses showcasing the latest creations with more than 100 exhibition booths.
