Hanoi reaffirmed its commitment to resolute action that puts the people's interests first, in accordance with the Prime Minister's directives.
Hanoi is aiming for all citizens to have an account on the iHaNoi app to improve online interactions between citizens, businesses and local government through the platform, according to a recent directive from Hanoi People's Committee Chairman Tran Sy Thanh.

The initiative is a result of Project 06, which will develop population data, identification and e-authentication applications by 2030, in line with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's directives for Hanoi's digital transformation.
"The city must adhere closely to the objectives of Project 06 to achieve technological infrastructure perfection, digitization and data sharing for the construction of a digital government, digital economy, digital society and digital citizens," said the Premier at a recent introduction of the city's applications developed under Project 06.
In response to the Prime Minister's instructions, the Mayor of Hanoi reaffirmed Hanoi's commitment to resolute action that puts the people's interests first.
He added that the city, in cooperation with the Government Office, will set up a team to study the model of public administration services, and this initiative will be officially launched in September-October 2024.

Accordingly, Hanoi Mayor Tran Sy Thanh has asked the city's heads of departments, agencies, districts, communes and wards to set an example by creating individual accounts on the iHaNoi app for all civil servants by July 30, 2024.
Agencies will designate lead contacts who will thoroughly address citizen and business feedback, ensuring quality, efficiency and timeliness according to city regulations.
Community digital transformation teams will work closely with local police and youth organizations to effectively implement public awareness campaigns and help citizens download the iHaNoi app.
The Hanoi Police will ensure the cybersecurity of the app within their jurisdiction and assigned functions.
The City People's Committee Office will provide promotional materials and user guides, handle citizens' inquiries, and provide support for the use of the iHaNoi app via hotline 1022 - extension 8.

The Military Industry and Telecommunications Group (Viettel) and related units will continue to refine and add useful features to the app, such as public opinion polling, voter recommendation, parking space search and reservation, bus route inquiry, access to electronic contact directories and registration services, utility bill payment and mobile phone top-up, as well as improve the news section and other features for Hanoi.
The city's Department of Information and Communications will direct the municipality's digital transformation teams to help citizens download, activate and use iHanoi accounts. The agency is required to actively promote the iHanoi app as a platform for citizens and businesses where all city digital services are provided. It is also intended to strengthen communication between the government and the public as well as businesses across Hanoi.
The Municipal Department of Home Affairs will oversee how the city's agencies and units process feedback and recommendations submitted through the iHanoi app.
A campaign involving all agencies, departments, and community groups will be deployed throughout the city in partnership with the police, youth union, businesses, and universities to help residents install the iHanoi app by September 15, 2024.
Chairman Tran Sy Thanh has also called on citizens to continue to support, trust, and cooperate with the city government in building a digital government, digital economy, digital society, and digital citizens. This is in line with the city's vision to develop a green, smart, modern, inclusive and sustainable Hanoi.
