Hanoi assures to check prices of dairy products and dietary supplements

The Hanoi People’s Committee has issued Official Letter 4204/UBND-KT dated August 29 on realizing regulations in Circular 08/2017/TT-BCT dated June 26, 2017 of Ministry of Industry and Trade on registering, declaring prices of diary and dietary supplements for children under six years old.


 

Under the Letter, the Department of Industry and Trade is assigned to receive and verify the price declaration and registration forms producers, importers of dairy products and dietary supplements for children under six years old in Hanoi under Circular 08/2017/TT-BCT; give list of producers and importers who register, declare the prices to the Department of Industry and Trade regularly; review, and announce amendment of the list; update wholesale and retail prices of dairy products and dietary supplements for children under six years old on website of Department of Industry and Trade, so that People’s Committees of districts and towns have basis to review retail prices.

The Market Surveillance Department increases examination and tightens control over implementation of legal regulations on dairy products and dietary supplements for children under six years old; urges producers and importers to register and declare prices according to regulations.  


People’s Committees of districts, suburban districts and towns receive and verify price declaration forms of the distributors, if retail prices exceed suggested prices; urge distributors to register, declare prices according to regulations; check and supervise the implementation of regulations on prices of dairy products and dietary supplements for children under six years old, including price registration, declaration and retail prices.

Information work and popularization are increased among dairy products and dietary supplements traders according to Circular 08/2017/TT-BCT.
