Hanoi boosts ties with South Ostrobothnia

On March 2, Chairman of Hanoi People`s Committee Nguyen The Thao has received a delegation of South Ostrobothnia, Findland led by Region Mayor Asko Peltola to visit and work in Vietnam.

At the meeting, City Chairman Nguyen The Thao highly valued the time-honoured traditional relationship between the Finnish and Vietnamese people. After introduced the outstanding achievements of the capital in 30 years of innovation, Chairman Thao said that in the current national development process, Vietnam continues to receive valuable support from Finland, especially in economics, culture and poverty reduction.

According to the Chairman, the above-mentioned fields are strengths of South Ostrobothnia and Findland, Hanoi would like to receive cooperation, sharing the experience of South Ostrobothnia. Besides, the two sides should expand cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, especially in the ability to cope with risks caused by natural disasters and clean water plant. 
 
At the reception, Mayor of South Ostrobothnia Asko Peltola, spoke highly of Hanoi ’s development and the role of Vietnam in the world community. Vietnam is a market of full potential, he said, adding that the visit will open up cooperative development opportunities between Vietnamese regions and Finland.
