At a meeting with leaders of Egypt's Ministry of Culture, Phong suggested the vast potential for cooperation in culture between Vietnam and Egypt in general and Hanoi – Cairo in particular.

Phong called for the ministry to support cooperation and exchange activities between the two sides, especially in culture, and invite Egypt's officials to participate in cultural activities in Hanoi.

Egypt's Ministry of Culture stressed the significance of its long-standing relations with Vietnam, expecting to receive more support from Vietnam and Hanoi in organizing upcoming cultural events.

Both sides expressed hope that through cultural, sports, and tourism cooperation, people from the two countries would better understand each cultural value.
