Hanoi Capital to establish food safety inspection mission
Under the Official Letter No. 8922/VP-KGVX dated September 26, the Hanoi People’s Committee gives opinions on inter-disciplinary inspection and examination mission to check food safety during the Mid-Autumn Festival 2017.
The Hanoi People’s Committee received Decision 3498/QD-BCT dated September 11, 2017 of Ministry of Industry and Trade on setting up inter-disciplinary inspection and examination team to check food safety during upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival. Accordingly, the mission will carry out instruction of the inter-disciplinary Steering Committee for Food Safety of Hanoi; conduct inspection, and urge implementation of the Central Steering Committee for Food Safety’s plan on conducting inter-disciplinary inspection and examination of food safety during the Mid-Autumn Festival 2017; cooperate with localities to check and inspect implementation of regulations on ensuring food safety and hygiene in several food production and trade establishments in the Capital city.
Furthermore, the mission will realize instruction of the Central Steering Committee in order to increase food safety for the festival, and cooperate with specialized agencies of localities to check implementation of legal regulations on food safety and hygiene in production and trade establishments in Hanoi. If violation is detected during examination process, the mission will report to competent authorities, so that the latter will handle it according to regulations.
In response to the document of Ministry of Industry and Trade, Hanoi People’s Committee assigns Department of Health (standing agency of the municipal Steering Committee for Food Safety) to proactively implement the plan, and report the results to the People’s Committee.
