Hanoi Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung laid flower at the statue of Lenin V.I

On November 7, Chairman of Hanoi People`s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung led the City delegation to lay a basket of flower at the statue of Vladimir Ilych Lenin to mark the 99th anniversary of the Russian October Revolution (November 7, 1917).

The city’s leaders also expressed their respect for Lenin for his great contributions to the world’s revolutionary cause. The same day, other institutes and agencies in the city also commemorated the event. 

It is an annual activity of Hanoi to express gratitude to Lenin, who is one of the leading political figures and revolutionary thinkers of the 20th century. He masterminded the Bolshevik take-over of power in Russia in 1917 and also was the architect and first leader of the former Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.
