A large number of people and tourists were attracted to the Hanoi Trade Promotion Fair.
Hanoi has organized many cultural and tourism activities, especially those that promote trade and combine tourism, culture and history to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the capital's Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 - 2024).
Nguyen Thanh Thao, who had just traveled to Hanoi from the central beach city of Danang, said her family had planned to spend a few days in Hanoi to visit her grandparents and enjoy the fall weather after many years away from the capital.
Thao said she visited many historical sites and scenic spots in Hanoi. She also shopped at the fair that promotes trade and combines tourism and culture in Bac Tu Liem District. "Here we can enjoy performances, folk music, traditional Vietnamese ao dai, buy regional specialties at reasonable prices and safe quality," Thao said enthusiastically.

With a scale of 100 booths of nearly 100 enterprises from more than 30 provinces and cities across the country and traditional handicraft villages in Hanoi, the "Trade Promotion Fair for Tourism and Culture Promotion" has attracted a large number of people and tourists in recent days.
Businesses have exhibited typical products, local specialties, processed agricultural products, consumer goods, household appliances, handicrafts, and some high-tech products to promote the image of local culture and history.
Many residents and tourists hope that Hanoi will continue to organize such events so that people can better understand the relics and culture of localities, thereby contributing to the promotion of tourism and trade between provinces and cities.
Speaking about the benefits of the fair for provinces and cities in promoting trade and tourism, Director of Quang Ninh Department of Tourism Nguyen Huyen Anh said that by participating in the fair, the province's tourism sector will have more opportunities to promote tourist destinations and services to numerous visitors, exchange experience and connect with Hanoi and provinces and cities in the northern region.
Bac Tu Liem is a district with great potential for the growth of trade and tourism due to its unique location, topography, natural environment, and cultural heritage. It is full of distinctive features, revolutionary customs, and deep cultural heritage.
In the district, many cultural heritages of the ancient Vietnamese people, rich in quantity and diverse in types, converge with 135 relics. Among them, 63 are classified by the State as historical and cultural relics, including one special national relic, 48 national relics, and 14 city-level relics; 35 intangible cultural heritages with two festivals included in the list of national intangible cultural heritages.
In addition, the district has ancient villages, traditional artisan villages that have entered the minds of the people, and many revolutionary and resistance vestiges that have marked the history of the nation.
According to Nguyen Huu Tuyen, Chairman of Bac Tu Liem People's Committee, the district is home to many famous handicraft villages with products that have been recognized for their quality at home and abroad, including Tay Tuu flowers, Dong Ngac - Duc Thang ornamental plants, Dien grapefruit, Xuan Dinh sapodilla, Xuan Dinh - Xuan Tao confectionery, Thuong Cat rice cakes, My Lan - Co Nhue sewing, and others.
In addition to sightseeing and shopping activities, locals and visitors will enjoy special art performances combining traditional and modern art, visit and learn about fossil collections at the Fossil Exhibition Hall of Hanoi Fossil Museum, spend beautiful moments at miniature landscapes with brilliant flower colors at Tay Tuu Flower Village.
Many new trade opportunities for businesses
Nguyen Huu Tuyen, Chairman of the Bac Tu Liem District People's Committee, said the fair is a great opportunity for localities to introduce their potential and typical products to the public. "This is not only a place for promotion, but also an important bridge between businesses and consumers. It also plays a practical role in stimulating domestic consumption."

Tuyen assured that the activities will provide memorable experiences for tourists and locals. The event not only creates opportunities for businesses to reach out to new customers and find partners but also provides an opportunity to enhance interaction between manufacturers and consumers. This is an important contribution to supporting small and medium enterprises in product development and business expansion.
Tourism businesses, especially traditional artisanal villages, have the opportunity to introduce tourists to products imbued with indigenous culture, contributing to the enrichment of the image of Vietnamese tourism in general and Hanoi in particular.
Vu Xuan Hung, representative of Kon Tum Bird's Nest Company Limited, said: "Aiming to increase the consumption of my company's products by participating in fairs, I hope to bring bird's nest products closer to consumers in the capital."
"With excellent quality, beautiful designs, and appropriate packaging, my company's products such as Kon Tum stewed bird's nest, refined bird's nest and Kon Tum ginseng bird's nest water have been awarded as 3-4 star OCOP products at the provincial level," he added.
Hung expressed his hope that after the fair, his company will have the opportunity to increase sales and expand the consumer market not only locally but also nationwide.
A representative of the Phu Vinh Rattan and Bamboo Production Plant said that handicraft products are currently preferred by many people thanks to their aesthetics as well as the sophistication and meticulousness of every product detail.
"However, to reach out to consumers, the role of trade promotion is very important. Therefore, I hope that the Hanoi government will actively implement activities that serve as a bridge between businesses and consumers," said the representative.
The highlight of the fair is the combination of trade, tourism, and culture, creating a diverse and vibrant space where visitors can not only shop but also have the opportunity to learn more about the culture and traditional products of different regions.
