Hanoi committed to creating optimal conditions for foreign investors

Administrative reform is at the core of the efforts by Hanoi’s authorities in improving the business environment.

Hanoi is committed to creating an optimal business climate for foreign investors, newly-appointed Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Vuong Dinh Hue said a recent meeting with President and CEO of Sumitomo Corporation Asia and Oceania Keigo Shiomi.

The meeting focused on the ongoing smart city project in the northern region of ​​Hanoi.

Hue emphasized that Vietnam and Japan boast a sound relationship with cooperation in numerous fields on the basis of extensive strategic partnership.

He highly valued the ongoing smart city project jointly launched by Sumitomo Corporation and BRG Group of Vietnam, adding that it will be a driving force for Nhat Tan-Noi Bai road axis in the north of Hanoi.

Administrative reform is at the core of the efforts by Hanoi’s authorities in improving the business environment, the municipal leader affirmed.

He suggested that the two firms need to ensure the schedule of the project and achieve tangible results right from the first stage.

For his part, Keigo Shiomi informed about the progress of the smart city project and other business plans being implemented in collaboration with BRG Group.

Leaders of Sumitomo and BRG were committed to quickly completing the smart city project to bring practical benefits to local residents.

He also voiced his hope that Hanoi’s authorities will keep facilitating Sumitomo's investment projects in the city.
