Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Tran Sy Thanh pledged during a meeting with Group President Shin Dong-bin on August 31.

At the meeting, Shin expressed his thanks for the support of the local authorities, especially for the construction of the Lotte Mall Tay Ho Complex, which is set to complete by 2023.

According to Shin, the project could receive up to 10 million visitors per year and create jobs for 10,000 locals.

Shin expected the Lotte Mall Tay Ho Complex would have similar success as the Lotte Center Hanoi and receive the support of the Hanoians.

In the coming time, Shin noted Lotte would closely work with Tay Ho District's authorities to contribute to the development of the district and look forward to the support of the city for its upcoming projects, including a large-scale housing complex.

For his part, Hanoi’s mayor Tran Sy Thanh expressed his delight at the strong progress of Vietnam-South Korea relations over the past 30 years.

Thanh said Hanoi remains supportive of the South Korean corporation’s projects in the capital city and stands ready to address any issues related to these projects.

For the housing complex project, Thanh assigned related authorities to work with Lotte in the search for a suitable location in the capital city.
