In order to enhance the management quality of tourism services and to ensure the safety of tourists during September 9 holiday, at the same time to further strengthen the prevention and control of malaria in the city’s areas, the Hanoi Department of Tourism issued Official Letter 835/SDL-CSLT on August 23, 2017 on the organization of tourism services to serve and ensure the safety for tourists during the holiday season.

Accordingly, the Hanoi Department of Tourism requires organizations and private enterprises engaged in the tourism activities to carry out the following tasks: control and enhance the service quality at residential accommodations, deliveries and restaurants to serve tourists; not increase price of rooms at the accommodation; strictly avoid activities that can adversely affect the image of tourism in Hanoi; actively implement measures to prevent and control malaria, etc.

Travel agencies, enterprises and individuals shall promptly report to the Hanoi Department of Tourism when detecting any acts of law violation in the tourism business or tourism activities. In cases where tourists have signs and symptoms of malaria, individuals and organizations can call the hotline 094.33.66.77.
