Vice-Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Le Hong Son stressed the view in a meeting with Daewoo E&C’s President Jung Won Ju today [June 22].

According to Son, the long-standing presence of Daewoo in Vietnam with its high-quality products and services left a good impression on the Vietnamese people.

“Daewoo’s operation has contributed to the transformation of the city, raising living standards, and creating jobs for the locals,” Son said.

Son added the city’s authorities would continue to create favorable conditions for South Korean projects, including those of Daewoo E&C, especially in culture, education, economy, and trade.

For his part, Daewoo E&C‘s President Jung Won Ju said the main objective of his visit to Hanoi is to look for investment opportunities and accelerate the implementation of ongoing ones.

Jung called for the city to continue supporting the company in ensuring the completion of its projects on time and expected to take part in Hanoi’s urban projects.

On this occasion, Jung hopes that the media outlets of the two countries will continue to cooperate in covering events celebrating the 30th anniversary of Vietnam-South Korea relations, including economic forums between major corporations of the two countries.

Sharing Jung’s view, Son noted Hanoi as Vietnam’s political-administrative-economic hub serves as the growth engine of the capital  area.

Son expected with the completion of the upcoming Ring-road No.4, a new economic corridor would emerge in the north and be the focal point for investment.
