This is the 8th time Hanoi organizes the event, with the desire to promote handicraft designing and manufacturing, especially for export.

This year, the show will attract numerous local and foreign handicraft companies which are expert producers of rattan, bamboo, pottery, textile, wooden, among others.

Besides, Hanoi Gift Show 2019 will arrange a display of products with new, unique and creative designs as well as high economic, technical and artistic values.

Speaking at the press conference, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Center for Industrial Promotion and Industrial Development Consultant Hoang Minh Lam said that besides displaying and introducing products and models, the show will attach importance to trade and matching buyers and sellers.

Remarkably, at Hanoi Gift Show 2019, the organizing committee will conduct the “Match and Meet” program between enterprises participating in the show and foreign importers. It aims to help importers find businesses with appropriate products and trade directly at the show.

Within the framework of the show, an international workshop specialized in handicrafts titled "Sustainable handicraft development with the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP)” will be held.

The workshop will see the attendance of domestic and foreign experts to provide information on world handicraft trends.

Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade Nguyen Thanh Hai said that the event will keep opening opportunities to offer traditional handicrafts of Vietnam in general and of Hanoi in particular to international clients and promote the export and sustainable development of Hanoi's handicraft industry.

In order to create the best conditions for importers to directly access source of goods, the organizing committee will take these businesses to visit craft villages in Hanoi’s outskirts, Hai added.
