Hanoi holds diverse activities to promote domestic tourism

A series of activities will include workshops, promotional sales and artistic performances.

Hanoi's authorities will run a series of programs between June 26 and 28 to promote the city’s cultural and tourist attractions.

The event, held by the Hanoi People's Committee, will be a combination of workshops, promotional sales and artistic performances.  

The highlight of the event will be the street culture festival entitled “Hanoi – green destination” which will take place on June 27.

It is expected to draw the participation of 3,000 artists, actors, artisans and practitioners of the intangible cultural heritages of Hanoi and its people. They will join in a caravan to march on the streets around Hoan Kiem Lake. The street festival is aimed at promoting the arts and heritages of Thang Long – Hanoi, its friendly and welcoming dwellers. 

“The street festival will show the beauty of Hanoi through the values of culture, heritage, craft villages which have been preserved for many generations,” meritorious artist Thuy Mui, head of the Vietnam Center for Performing Art Conservation and Development and director of the program, told Kinh te & Do thi.

Together with the street festival, another program will be held to introduce famous destinations in Hanoi such as the Temple of Literature, Hoa Lo Prison, and other renowned monuments of the city.

New tour packages will be presented on this occasion including the nightlife journey at Hoa Lo Prison or the heritage education experience at the Temple of Literature.

From June 26 to 28, an exhibition themed “Hanoi in the Days Against Covid-19. Holding on confidence to overcome challenges” at the Ly Thai To flower garden showing Hanoi in observation of social distancing to prevent and control the pandemic.
