Hanoi inaugurates online system for temporary residence and staying notification

On February 1, the Hanoi Police Department inaugurated an online staying notification and declaration system. Chairman of Hanoi People`s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung attended and pressed the start button system.
Colonel Dao Thanh Hai, Deputy Head of the Hanoi Police Department, said the department prepared technical facilities, and organised training classes for local policemen. The system was developed by the Ministry of Police, the municipal Police Department and related units, aiming to increase the effectiveness of administrative procedures in staying notifications and declarations, particularly among foreigners and accommodation businesses.
Earlier the system was piloted at some wards including Trung Hoa (Cau Giay district) and Hang Trong (Hoan Kiem district), he said adding that there were 230 units in the two wards participating in the system. After a one-month trial, administrative reform has progressed significantly and the system has received active responses from the public. Hai said the department will continue to study the system’s shortcomings in order to create the most favourable conditions for businesses and the police’s professional tasks.
Inaugurated the system, Hanoi Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung stressed that this is the next step in the work to continue improving the efficiency of administrative reform serving the People of Hanoi Police in particular and Hanoi City in general. Evaluating the effectiveness of this system after a period of testing, the next time, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee proposed that Police force of Hanoi Administration, Immigration Management Department in the implementation process need to regularly update information regarding daily basis, businesses, personal business accommodation services; while enhancing test, detecting and immediately fixing technical errors (if appeared), to ensure the system running smoothly and efficiently.
For policemen, when checking into the facility, must use smart devices to test to ensure accuracy, can be immediately collated and checked. "Especially, do not annoy individuals, businesses, foreigners" - Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee emphasized.
