Accordingly, the department has identified 92 locations at risk of congestion to deal with them, and avoid the occurrence of new congestion points.
Hanoi police will divert all trucks, buses to side roads and prevent them to go through the capital city in artery routes.
Also, Tet markets will be held at the entrances of the city to avoid large number of trucks carrying Tet-related commodities circulating in the city’s downtown.
The department’s inspectorate will ensure traffic safety and urban order, strictly handle violations, especially unauthorized car-parks, encroachment of roadways, sidewalks and traffic corridors for street vending.
Mobile units of the inspectorate will be dispatched to the city’s bus stations to ensure order, in anticipation of large influx of people returning home.
