Hanoi: jubilantly celebrating 45th anniversary of “Hanoi – Dien Bien Phu in the air” victory

The Hanoi People’s Committee granted the Official Letter No. 6311/UBND-KGVX on December 11, implementing the Plan No. 60-KH/TU dated November 28, 2017 of the Municipal Party Committee.

Under the Official Letter, carrying out the Plan. 60-KH/TU dated November 28, 2017 of the Hanoi Party Committee on organizing activities to mark the 45th anniversary of the “Hanoi – Dien Bien Phu in the air” victory (December, 1972-2017), the Hanoi People’s Committee assigned the Department of Culture and Sports to take prime responsibility and coordinate with People’s Committees of districts, suburban districts, towns and relevant units to open exhibition showcasing artifacts, works of art and literature; embellish and affix signs for revolutionary historical relics; organize communication activities, performances of arts and sports, etc.

The Department of Culture and Sports will direct and jointly organize music performance programs, film screening sessions to serve local people; encourage to create and introduce excellent literary and artistic works to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the "Hanoi - Dien Bien Phu in the air" victory.

The Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs will coordinate with the Hanoi Capital High Command and People’s Committee of districts, towns to organize gratitude activities; present gifts to policy beneficiary families, revolutionary contributors in difficult circumstances; direct vocational training schools to enhance communication activities, writing contests of the “Hanoi - Dien Bien Phu in the air" victory among students; cooperate with Museums of Vietnamese Revolution, B.52 Victory, Air Defense - Air Force to  organize mobile exhibitions in several vocational training schools.

The Department of Education and Training will direct high schools and subordinate units to organize communication activities and launch contests of the victory “Hanoi - Dien Bien Phu in the air" to all students; coordinate with Museums of Vietnamese Revolution, B.52 Victory, Air Defense - Air Force to  organize mobile exhibitions in several high schools.

The Capital High Command will take prime responsibility and cooperate with the People’s Committee of Dong Da District and relevant units to organize the incense offering at Kham Thien Memorial Site on December 26, 2017; coordinate with Hanoi Radio and Television to organize meetings with historical witnesses, outstanding individuals during the 12 days and nights of the 1972 Campaign “Hanoi - Dien Bien Phu in the air”; visit outstanding military officers and some units in the capital city; cooperate with relevant departments, sectors to embellish historic B.52 relic sites; launch emulation movements in armed forces, etc.

People’s Committees of districts, towns will cooperate with Departments of Information and Communications, Culture and Sports and relevant units to organize communication activities, music performances, sports competitions in localities; embellish historical relic sites in localities. The People’s Committee of Dong Da District will coordinate with the Capital High Command and relevant units to successfully organize the incense offering at Kham Thien Memorial Site on December 26, 2017.
