Hanoi Party chief sends Tet greetings to locals

2023 - the pivotal year of the 5-year plan 2020-2025, has an essential meaning for Hanoi in its effort to realize socio-economic development objectives.

The Hanoi Times is honored to publish Tet greetings by Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung to locals on the occasion of the 2023 Lunar New Year.

Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung.

Dear compatriots, comrades, and soldiers of the Capital!

With the excitement and pride for the city’s achievements in 2022 in the joyful atmosphere to welcome the 2023 Lunar New Year and the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2023), on behalf of the Hanoi Party Committee, the municipal People's Council, the municipal People's Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee - Hanoi, I cordially send my best wishes to my compatriots and fellow citizens, officials, soldiers and children of the Capital from all over the country and abroad for the new year. I am wishing everyone good health, happiness, and success!

In 2022, in the context of many challenges, the leadership, agencies, and all classes of people in the capital continued to promote solidarity and determination to overcome difficulties, including the successful realization of the “dual goal" of both containing the Covid-19 pandemic and pushing for socio-economic recovery. Hanoi continues to affirm its position and prestige and make important contributions to the overall achievements of the country.

We would like to thank and warmly commend all compatriots, comrades, soldiers, cadres, civil servants, officials, workers, and the business community, who have joined hands to contribute to the city's good results in 2022.

2023 - the pivotal year of the 5-year plan 2020-2025, has an essential meaning for Hanoi in its effort to realize socio-economic development objectives. The city continues to choose the work theme for 2023 as "Year of discipline, responsibility, action, creativity, and development".

From that theme of work, we are determined to make a substantive change in discipline; so that the party committees are the nucleus to sustainably maintain social stability and consensus; authorities at all levels are trusted by the people, performing well their responsibility in state governance; cadres and civil servants carry out their duties with a spirit of service, commitment, and friendliness.

With a love for Hanoi and the tradition of solidarity, I deeply hope and believe that the people, comrades, and soldiers of the capital will continue to join hands to contribute their hearts and minds to the successful realization of the building to become a smart, modern, green, clean, beautiful, secure and safe city; develop rapidly, sustainably to become a driving engine for the Red River Delta, the Northern key economic region and the whole country; worthy of the people's expectations and the love and trust of the whole country.

Wishing all compatriots, comrades, and soldiers of the Capital a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year!

Happy new year!
