Hanoi peaceful on national holiday

Hoan Kiem transforms into a beautiful display of color and celebration, creating an atmosphere that is both peaceful and full of life.

Hoan Kiem District in the heart of Hanoi appears as vibrant and deeply patriotic in celebration of Independence Day (September 2), particularly around Hoan Kiem Lake, a central and symbolic location in the city.

The lake, surrounded by the bustle of Hanoi’s Old Quarter, transforms into a lively hub of activity as citizens and tourists alike gather to commemorate the day in a peaceful yet celebratory manner.

On this holiday, the streets around Hoan Kiem are adorned with national flags and colorful banners. The area becomes pedestrian-only, allowing people to freely stroll around the lake, enjoying the festive atmosphere without the usual traffic.

The atmosphere is one of unity and pride, as people reflect on the significance of the day while enjoying the present moment.
