Hanoi plans to implement Program on popularization and education of law

The Hanoi People’s Committee issued Plan 204/KH-UBND dated September 14 on implementing Program on popularization and education of law in the 2017-2021 period in Hanoi.

Under the Plan, the Hanoi People’s Committee requests city’s agencies, departments, unions, People’s Committees of districts, suburban districts, towns, communes and wards to take following actions:
 


 

Popularizing content of the program in different ways; check and improve human resource quality of officers responsible for the law popularization and education; regularly conduct examination, and effectively enhance the contingent of officers responsible for law report, law popularization and education in city’s agencies, departments, unions and localities, operate and exploit the workforce effectively; conduct periodical training sessions to improve their knowledge and skills of law popularization and education; compile and provide documents to the people in charge of law popularization and education;

Taking measures to improve law popularization and education in association with increasing the use of information technology; launch city’s portal of law popularization and education, aiming to connect, integrate and share documents as well as information of law popularization and education on internet, use investment resources of the State efficiently, and create favorable conditions for information exchange between state agencies and enterprises as well as people;

Improving quality and efficiency of law popularization and education in schools in association with education of politics, morality and lifestyle, thus developing the Vietnamese people comprehensively; carry out law popularization and education activities in accordance with curriculum and extracurricular activities in schools, innovate content and method of law education, and teach practical skills in schools; increase application of information and technology, and apply electronics, informatics, visual models and practical legal situations in law teaching;


Increasing state management in law popularization and education; giving direction and guidance, and suggest solutions to improve quality and performance of the Coordination Committees for Law Education and Popularization at all levels, thus promoting their role as advisor to the People’s Committees of Hanoi, districts, suburban districts and towns in popularization and education of law;

Increasing law popularization and education at grassroots level; connect law popularization and education with reconciliation activities at grassroots level, legal support, legal advice, culture, music and learning activities in communities; promote the role of radios at grassroots level and other information institutions in law popularization and education; conduct law popularization and education for specific objects;

Furthering call for investment of the private sector in law popularization and education, and mobilize resources; sign cooperation programs between Department of Justice and Hanoi Lawyers Association, Hanoi Bar Association, research and education establishments which conduct law popularization and education among the people;

Checking and assessing implementation of the projects and tasks under the Program; honor collectives and individuals with excellent performance in implementing the Program and its projects.
