Hanoi police carry out protection plans for IPU 132

Hanoi police launched plans to serve the organisation of the 132 nd Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly (IPU-132), lasting from March 25 to April 1.

At the launch function held on March 10, Deputy Minister of Public Security To Lam affirmed that the capital’s police is the main force providing protection for IPU-132. 
“Ensuring absolute political security and social order is extremely important to the success of the IPU Assembly,” the Deputy Minister stressed.

All of Hanoi police’s forces have been deployed for the task while still maintaining the performance of their assigned duties. 
During IPU- 132, crackdown on criminals will be reinforced, according to Hanoi police.
Deputy Minister To Lam asked that Hanoi police’s plans must also ensure security and social order in the capital city. 
As many as 126 delegations have so far registered to attend IPU-132, which is scheduled to include 67 sessions and 66 bilateral meetings focusing on promoting messages of peace, democracy, and social progress and equality.
