Hanoi Press Center to open May 9

The Hanoi Capital Press Center represents a critical step in building a modern media ecosystem, where technology, journalism, and public engagement converge to strengthen trust and accountability.

THE HANOI TIMES — The Hanoi People's Committee inaugurated a state-of-the-art Capital Press Center at 17 Dien Bien Phu Street this Friday, marking a major step in modernizing government public relations and enhancing public communication.

The facility will serve as a centralized hub for official news, crisis response, and media coordination, leveraging AI and big data analytics to combat misinformation with real-time monitoring tools.

Designed to improve transparency, it will provide journalists with verified information while ensuring accurate public communication.

The opening ceremony was attended by senior officials from central and local agencies, as well as representatives from domestic and international media. The event will also see the signing of cooperation agreements between the Hanoi People's Committee and the National Government Portal to establish a faster and more efficient data-sharing system.

The center will host press briefings, seminars, and exhibitions, reinforcing Hanoi's push for a technology-driven and public-oriented media environment in keeping with the city's strategy to build social consensus and sustainable development through transparent governance.

The center follows the city's recent efforts to digitize public administration and improve access to information. The city has been actively upgrading its digital infrastructure to meet the growing demand for real-time and accurate information in the digital age.

Similar press centers have proven useful in other major cities, such as Ho Chi Minh City, where integrated media hubs have reduced misinformation and improved crisis communications. Hanoi's model is expected to set a new standard with its advanced AI integration and direct connection to national data systems.
