The move aims to strengthen the role of older citizens in the country's development.

The association will also facilitate direct dialogue between senior citizens and local authorities to improve policies and legal frameworks that support the participation of older people in economic and social activities.

Pilot models will include senior-led initiatives for waste separation at source, circular organic farming, and exemplary household leadership to promote clean and green communities.

The local agencies are tasked with expanding communication efforts across digital platforms to raise awareness and promote senior engagement in digital transformation, green production, entrepreneurship, and job creation.

The Department of Agriculture and Environment will support the Elderly Association in advancing organic farming, tree planting, and waste classification at source.

Meanwhile, the Department of Science and Technology will assist elderly members' participation in digital transformation, scientific research, innovation, and technology transfer.

Relevant organizations, associations, and enterprises are also encouraged to create favorable conditions for seniors' contributions to green and digital transformation efforts.
