Hanoi has been supporting other provinces and cities in promoting fruits, agricultural products, and specialties in the city's market.
A week to introduce and promote safe products and food from neighboring provinces and cities is underway in Hanoi from June 29 to July 3. The event, organized by the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade, is a chance for the locals to enjoy agricultural products, food, and specialties from other places.
More than 45 enterprises and cooperatives from Hanoi and 14 other provinces participate in the event, which features over 60 stalls to promote the sale of fruit and seasonal agricultural products such as lychees from Bac Giang and Hai Duong, mangoes and plums from Son La, agricultural products from Cao Bang, seafood from Quang Ninh, and others.
Bui The Tinh of Ut Mo Trading Co., Ltd., who brings durians and Mekong Delta specialties to Hanoi, told The Hanoi Times that he had sold durians at many fairs held by the city's Department of Industry and Trade. "Thanks to the event, I realized that Hanoi consumers
love durian. Consumption is even higher than in Ho Chi Minh City," he said.

"My company's sales of durian in fairs usually reach 1-3 tons or even more. I often select fresh and delicious durians to offer them at fairs at an affordable price," Tinh added.
Le Quoc Tuan of Danh Vi Honey Co., Ltd. said: "I bring Hung Yen honey specialties to the Hanoi Fair, such as longan flower honey and lychee honey. My company's products are tested for food hygiene and safety every year so that consumers can be sure of our product quality".
As a Hanoi resident who loves regional agricultural products, Dinh Thi Hoa, who lives in Yen So, Hoang Mai, told The Hanoi Times: "When I buy agricultural products and food at such events, I always feel confident about the quality. I bought 2 liters of Hung Yen Longan flower honey because it is very delicious. I hope these events will continue to be held so that Hanoi residents can access more regional specialties.
.
According to the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade, over the years, the city has helped other provinces and cities to promote the sale of fruits, agricultural products, and specialties in the city's market through more than 100 trade events and fairs.
"The event helps other provinces and cities to sell products within a short period of time and helps consumers in the capital to access and recognize models and brands of products," said Acting Director of Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade Tran Thi Phuong Lan.
Lam added that the program has also accompanied and supported enterprises and cooperatives in Hanoi and other provinces to promote product consumption in the city market and other distribution channels.
