Hanoi regulates traffic flow to serve US – DPRK summit
Hanoi’s police recommended all drivers to strictly abide by traffic law and give way to vehicles with priority right.
Hanoi’s police have announced the detailed plan of traffic flow and organized directions for vehicles in the capital area during the second US – DPRK summit.
Accordingly, in order to ensure traffic order and safety for the summit, from February 26 to March 2, Hanoi’s police plan to allocate traffic and organize directions for the local vehicles as follows:
Firstly, temporarily prohibiting vehicles transporting weapons, tools, explosives, inflammables and toxic chemicals passing through Hanoi before and during the summit. Tank trucks, gas tankers, and petrol and oil tankers may only enter petrol and oil depots from 0:00am to 5:00am.
Secondly, during the period from 7:00am to 1:00pm on February 26 and from 1:00pm to 3:00pm on March 2, temporarily banning all kinds of coaches with passengers and goods (except for vehicles serving the summit).
Thirdly, limiting private cars and motorbikes on roads such as National Highway 1B (adjacent to Hanoi and Bac Ninh to the road leading to Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway), Hanoi - Bac Giang highway with National Highway 5 and streets: Nguyen Van Linh, Nguyen Van Cu, Chuong Duong Bridge, Tran Quang Khai, Trang Tien, Ngo Quyen, Ly Thuong Kiet, Phan Chu Trinh, Tran Khanh Du.
Fourthly, from 9:00am to 3:00 on February 27, limiting private cars and motorcycles on the roads: Do Duc Duc, Pham Hung, Tran Duy Hung, Nguyen Chi Thanh, Lieu Giai, Kim Ma, Nguyen Thai Hoc, Chu Van An, Dien Bien Phu, Doc Lap, Hoang Van Thu, Hung Vuong, Hoang Dieu and Tran Phu.
Fifthly, from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm on February 28, strictly banning all types of vehicles on the streets: Ngo Quyen and Ly Thai To, Le Phung Hieu, Dinh Tien Hoang, Hang Bai, Le Lai and Le Thach, Trang Tien, Tran Nguyen Han, Tong Dan.
Sixthly, from 2:00pm to 11:00pm on March 1, limiting private cars and motorcycles on the roads: Ly Thuong Kiet, Quan Su, Trang Thi, Dien Bien Phu, Lap Lap, Hoang Van Thu, Hung Vuong, Hoang Dieu, Hai Ba Trung, Ba Trieu, Phan Chu Trinh, Tran Phu, Phan Boi Chau, Trang Tien, Le Thanh Tong.
