This is one of the commitments between representatives from the Hanoi Cooperatives Alliance (HCA) and 150 cooperatives from 17 provinces, supermarket chains and retail systems participating in the promotion conference on August 18.
The participants will hold promotional activities including marketing and selling of cooperative products, as well as timely collect information about the market, potential and investment cooperation opportunities of the provinces and cities across the country.
Other activities will also be promoted and implemented, such as advice and support for the construction of cooperative models in value chains and brand identity.
At the conference, local cooperatives and distributors presented a lack of a number of sustainable production chains, the products of many cooperatives are still mainly raw, packaging, labeling and traceability are insufficient, making it difficult for them to access distribution channels.
HCA vice president Nguyen Trung Thanh told The Hanoi Times that the unit has helped hundreds of cooperatives engage in promotional activities that associate specialties with regional cultures in recent times.
The city is lending support to local businesses and cooperatives in putting agricultural products on the e-commerce platforms, as well as boosting trade promotion activities.
"Through programs and activities, many cooperatives signed contracts with distribution channels, helping to raise the economic value and improve the income of the members," he stressed.
The city recently completed and put into operation an area to display cooperative and business assets to further support cooperatives in selling their products.
