What are the highlights of the city's science and technology market development in 2022?

There are three highlights of the development of the science and technology market in 2022 when realizing the Program on the development of the city's science and technology market until 2030, which was released by the Hanoi People's Committee on January 13.

The program carries out the necessary work to implement Decision No. 1442 of the Hanoi People's Committee approving the Hanoi Technology Exchange project and has activities to exhibit scientific and technological products.

The city will hold a science and technology exhibition with the theme “Digital transformation and innovation” at the Hanoi Museum on December 10 and 11.

The exhibition aims to raise awareness of science and technology, digital transformation and support the development of the city's science and technology market, as well as support the connection between local companies, scientists, science and technology organizations, research institutes, universities, and state agencies, access to technology and solutions in the process of digital transformation and innovation.

It also collects suggestions and recommendations on legal corridors, mechanisms, and policies to support state management agencies and enterprises applying technology, digital transformation, and innovation in the operation process.

Who are the participants expected in this exhibition?

With a scale of about 50 booths, the science and technology expo is expected to attract the participation of science and technology companies in the software and those that have succeeded in digitizing information technology, digital transformation, and innovation.

In addition, there are pavilions of research institutes and universities introducing unique scientific and technological products with scientific and technological value and high commercialization capability.

We also hope to draw the presence of business associations, incubators, and intellectual property consulting organizations.

Within the framework of the exhibition, two scientific seminars with the theme "Digital transformation in state agencies" and "Digital transformation and innovation in enterprises" will be attended by management departments and agencies, universities, enterprises, and cooperatives of the city.

They will be able to discuss with 15 speakers who are managers, experts, and company representatives on topics such as policies, implementation methods, technology, and success studies.

What do you think about digital transformation and innovation in Hanoi?

Hanoi is the country's leading locality in implementing Party, State, and Government guidelines and policies on digital transformation and innovation.

The city authorities have also established numerous plans and support measures for developing science and technology.

Last year, the municipal People's Committee issued Decision No. 4098 approving the Hanoi Digital Transformation Program until 2025, targeting 2030, consolidating and renaming the Steering Committee for municipal e-government construction as the Hanoi Digital Transformation Steering Committee under Decision No. 4884 dated November 18, 2021.

This year, the city's People's Committee also approved a plan called "Supporting the digital transformation of Hanoi's small and medium-sized enterprises in the period 2021-2025" under Decision No. 3457, dated September 23.

Based on the national programs and plans on digital transformation and the 2022 Action Plan on Digital Transformation under Decision No. 27, dated March 15, the city authorities have assigned tasks related to digital government, digital economy, and digital society.

To implement the city's plan to implement Program No. 07 of the Hanoi Party Committee on "Strengthening the development of science, technology and innovation in Hanoi City in the period 2021-2025", the municipal Department of Science and Technology is coordinating with the Vietnam National Innovation Center (under the Ministry of Planning and Investment) to survey innovation levels in a large number of enterprises.

By 2025, Hanoi wants to have at least 200 certified science and technology enterprises. The rate of enterprises with innovative activities exceeds 50%.

Thank you for your time!
