Hai expressed his impression of Nam Dinh's development, especially in building new-style rural areas, with 100% of the province’s communes have completed the target.

With the spirit of "Hanoi for the whole country and the whole country for Hanoi", Nam Dinh's development also contributes to the capital city’s prosperity in the past years, Hai said.

He suggested that the elaboration of cooperation program between the two localities should be soon completed.

According to Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Duc Chung, the potential cooperation between Hanoi and Nam Dinh remains huge, thus, the program needs to be more specific in the time ahead.

Chung said that Hanoi can learn Nam Dinh’s experience in mass mobilization work in the catholic community, festival organization and management, cultural and historical relics preservation.

Besides, in order to promote the sale of Nam Dinh's products in Hanoi, provincial enterprises need to actively participate in Hanoi's fairs and exhibitions. Thereby, Hanoi will help place Nam Dinh’s products in supermarkets chain, hotels and restaurants, Chung added.

He stressed that in the coming time, the two localities need to raise more comprehensive and effective socio-economic relations, such as urban development, culture, tourism, environmental protection, among others.

For his part, Secretary of the Nam Dinh Provincial Party Committee Doan Hong Phong said that since 2003, the two localities have actively cooperated in numerous fields such as trade, investment, agriculture, healthcare, education. However, the results of cooperation have not been commensurate with each side’s strengths.

Phong believed that this year’s Cooperation-Development Conference will help overcome limitations and tighten the relationship between the two localities for effective cooperation and development.

Chairman of the Nam Dinh People's Committee Pham Dinh Nghi hoped that in the coming time, Nam Dinh will learn Hanoi's experience in planning and management, as well as building a smart city.

Nghi also expressed his hope that Hanoi will coordinate and support his province in education and training, especially foreign language training; continue to facilitate the consumption of Nam Dinh’s traditional products, including high-quality rice and farm products.
