The event is scheduled for November 21, 2023, at the Hanoi Party Committee Hall at No.9 Ngo Quyen, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi.

The workshop aimed to underscore the significance of Capital Planning and its role in translating the Party's guidelines, state policies, and laws into tangible actions.

Simultaneously, the event would help disseminate information and foster unity among various levels, branches, officials, civil servants, public employees, and the general public in the capital, enhancing their understanding and recognition of the pivotal role and significance of planning in the city's socio-economic development.

Furthermore, the conference is expected to mobilize the engagement and insights of socio-political organizations, professional associations, scientists, experts, and researchers in shaping Capital Planning.

To enhance the ongoing efforts of Hanoi in the Capital Planning process, particularly in completing the Capital Planning Report for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, the workshop would concentrate on addressing two key sets of issues: (1) Theoretical and practical considerations concerning Capital Planning for the period 2021-2030, vision to 2050; and (2) Practices related to formulating and executing plans for sectors and districts in Hanoi, aimed at effective resource utilization in the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050.

The conference anticipated approximately 250 attendees, including representatives from central agencies, international organizations, scientists, businesses, and leadership from the municipal Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and various departments, branches, and People's Committees of districts and towns.

In the lead-up to the conference, the Organizing Committee received over 60 presentations from experts, scientists, ministries, departments, and various branches in Hanoi.

The workshop also facilitates exchanges of opinions, comments, and ideas from attending scientists. Following these discussions, the Organizing Committee would refine the content, creating an essential document for ongoing Capital Planning and the future development of the capital.

With a diverse range of perspectives from managers and scientists, the conference aims to receive valuable contributions to concretize the construction and implementation of the Hanoi Capital plan for 2021-2030, with a vision of 2050.
