Hanoi students enter high-school entrance exam

Hanoi students are confident and comfortable when taking part in high school exams on the first day.

More than 106,000 students in Hanoi took the first entrance exam of Literature this morning to get a seat at high school for the 2022-2023 academic year.

The Hanoi Department of Education has prepared over 4,500 exam rooms located across 210 venues, while mobilizing some 14,000 officials, teachers, and employees to supervise the exams.

On the morning of the first day, they took a 120-minute Vietnamese Literature test. On the afternoon of the same day, they will take a 50-minute English test. On the morning of June 18, they will do a mathematics test with a duration of 120 minutes.

The municipal People's Committee asked those in charge of all 210 exam sites to ensure the availability of sanitizer, provide guidance for students and stay in touch with parents on exam days.

Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Chu Xuan Dung on June 18 inspected the examination organization and encouraged the candidates at Chu Van An High School where 845 students were taking high school exams.

The city's Party committee and local officials, especially leaders, must be involved, maintaining a sense of responsibility to successfully conduct the exam in accordance with the motto “All for the future of our children," Dung stressed.

Dung sends his best wishes to the candidates before the exam.

Candidates have their body temperature checked and disinfected before entering the exam room at Chu Van An High School.

All candidates must wear face masks to prevent Covid-19.

At the school, there is a “special” examination room for two candidates who are Covid-19 patients.

In general, the candidates are quite confident and comfortable when taking the first exam on June 18.
