Hanoi students to be pioneers in digital transformation and innovation

The Hanoi branch of Vietnamese Students' Association (VSA) has focused on finding solutions to create the right awareness of digital transformation for all members.

Students in Hanoi must be at the forefront of promoting national digital transformation, grasping the foundations of science and technology, innovation, and international integration.

Le Hong Son, Deputy Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee, made the remarks at the 8th Congress of the Vietnamese Students' Association in Hanoi this week.

The official stressed that Hanoi's youth, with their intelligence, bravery and desire to contribute to the development of the capital and the country, will play a very important role and assume great responsibility in the journey to the future.

"Hanoi will focus on accompanying students, building practical and long-term support activities, especially for those with special difficulties, and identifying the employment needs of talented students to train and develop their job-seeking and work skills. Creative start-ups among students in the capital will be encouraged," the official said.

He suggested focusing on the application of information technology and digital transformation in the operation, development, innovation, and improvement of quality and efficiency of the Vietnamese Student Association in a vibrant and attractive way.

Speaking at the congress, Chairman of the Vietnamese Student Association in Hanoi Nguyen Tien Hung said the association has adopted solutions to help students achieve many positive and comprehensive results.

"The association has focused on the strong development of scientific research clubs, creativity, and start-up clubs to create an environment for students to study, create, and conduct scientific research. Hanoi students have continued to reaffirm their role as the core and leading force in volunteer activities," Hung said.

He stressed that Hanoi students are pioneers in digital transformation and are proficient in digital skills, as the city's Student Association has focused on finding solutions to create the right awareness for all members on digital transformation through a variety of activities to improve digital skills for students, such as the ability to use equipment, software and use data information through competitions.

Within the framework of the Congress, the exhibition "Colors of the Capital's Students" was held, which presents two main themes: The Capital Student Volunteer Movement Exhibition from 1965 to the Present and Volunteer Activities for the Construction of the Capital.

In addition, an exhibition of models, projects, and creative ideas of Hanoi students who have won high prizes in domestic and international competitions in various fields: culture, education, environment, technology, and others.
