Vice-Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Chu Xuan Dung gave the remarks in a meeting with Argentinian Ambassador Luis Pablo Maria Beltramino today [April 27].

Dung highly regarded Argentina’s achievements in agricultural production and results in bilateral cooperation in recent years.

“Hanoi with a thousand years of history also gives priority to cultural cooperation, especially the cultural industry,” Dung said and expects the city and the Argentinian Embassy would jointly organize cultural events on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations.

Dung expected Beltramino in his position would serve as the bridge to take the Vietnam-Argentina relations, and that of Hanoi and localities of the South American country, to a new height.

For his part, Beltramino expressed his delight at the progress in the Vietnam-Argentina relations, noting Vietnam is a key partner for Argentina in Asia, especially in agriculture.

The Ambassador expected to strengthen cooperation with Vietnam and Hanoi in particular, in priority fields such as agriculture, environment, healthcare, education, and sports.

Beltramino agreed with Dung to bolster cultural and economic cooperation, especially as the two countries are set to celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2023.
