Hanoi to foster regional linkage project in biodiversity conservation

More action is needed to enhance regional linkages in biodiversity conservation in the Red River Delta.

THE HANOI TIMES — The Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Environment has developed a plan to strengthen the communication and dissemination of legal knowledge related to the conservation and use of biodiversity resources.

As such, the department will implement a project to enhance regional linkages in the conservation, exploitation, and use of biodiversity resources in nature reserves and natural heritage items in the Red River Delta.

The department also plans to take action to maintain the ecosystem at the Huong Son Nature Reserve and preserve the critically endangered Delacour's langur. It will also conserve wild and migratory birds in the Van Lang midland area from 2026 to 2030.

In the 2026–2030 period, the Hanoi Department of Tourism will be responsible for developing ecotourism in the Red River Delta, promoting community tourism in rural areas at the Huong Son relic complex, and developing ecotourism at Ba Vi National Park.

Relevant departments and People's Committees of wards or communes must proactively coordinate to effectively implement their assigned tasks, especially those related to nature conservation and natural heritage in the Red River Delta.
